The Sky Isn’t Falling

As I write this today, the market is at an ALL TIME high.  This got me thinking….”What about this whole ‘Brexit’ thing a couple weeks ago?’  I thought the sky was falling?”

I went back to my inbox from Friday, June 24th 2016.  This was three weeks ago, mind you.

The headline reads, “Brexit Market Shock May Push World into Recession.” *

Well, that’s terrifying.

In the article I read, “The time has come to consider that a financial market crash today may push a world economy, teetering on the verge of a contraction, over the edge.”

I’m sure some very intelligent and prudent retirees out there read that article and panicked.  They may very well have taken all of their money out of their investments.  Maybe they cancelled their trip to Europe.  The economy is on the edge!

It brings me back to a quote I know and love:

“Cultivating a garden takes lots of hard work, but at some point you have to let the plants grow.  If you have a plan, let it work.”  -Carl Richards

My life’s work is to painstakingly create the perfect plan for your financial futures, and allow that plan to flourish.

Of course you need to weed the garden, water the garden, and keep an eye out for insects.  But at the end of the day, for many of you, we have already done the hard work .  We have “planted the garden.”  We’ve created a plan based on logic and common sense.

All you need to do now is trust in the process, turn off the financial news, and live your life with confidence.
